I've been gone from here a bit longer than I meant to. Now that it's warming up I'll come back out of hiding ;) Soooo, I'll start by updating the slate a little bit...
I find them fun to do from time to time when I just want to sketch loosely for a bit. Some I like more than others, but isn't that how it always goes? The more I work on one; the less I like it. It is very easy to overwork them! I like it best when the stone lends itself to the artwork and shows through. The spots/specks/and colors in the one below is all from the rock itself and is my all time favorite so far :)

wow 2 updates in one day, i'm duly impressed! i like these slate drawings very much, but i hope you arent tearing up your floor for material ;-)
LOL - noooo, hubby made me buy unused ones from the store :p
